Old Union Sliding Door Mortice Lock 3 Lever 2 Working Keys and Keeper Plate

Here I have for sale one rare and hard to find nicely 1980's vintage Union 3 lever sliding door mortice lock and 2 working keys which work the lock perfectly with a nice smooth action.

The lock is in very good condition for its age, but unfortunately both the keys have marks and show signs of age and distress.  

There is a brass keeper plate and 4 brass wood screws included with this lock 

This lock is suitable for both left and right hand SLIDING doors as there is no latch bolt on this lock to worry about.

This lock is not suitable for any doors which have hinges, as it is a sliding door lock ONLY.

 
This lock has 3 levers and is still quite secure as Union make very good locks. It has a double claw action bolt that dead locks into both sides of thick brass keeper plate preventing the door from being lifted and opened without the key.

When locked, This lock deadlocks the sliding door to the door frame until the key is used to unlock the door.

This lock dates from the late 1980's era and is from my own personal vintage lock collection.

It is a later type Union SLIDING DOOR mortice dead lock that has been beautifully engineered by Union to perform very well and give reliable service.   

It is in very good working order and looks super ! despite its age and many years of use.

Please bare this in mind that this is a 35+ year old lock from the late 1980's era and it may have age related marks or show signs of use. Please see all 12 photos and study them carefully before you decide to buy this fabulous vintage lock, as I always do my very best to give a 100% honest description.

Again, This lock in fantastic condition for its vintage age but being an USED, old original lock from the late 1980's it may show some obvious signs of use and wear which only adds to its original character ! so please bare this in mind before you decide to buy this great quality lock and study all the 12 photographs very carefully as they show the actual lock that you will receive and the over all condition that it is in including any marks or imperfections it may have and they also show some relevant measurements that may be needed.

Measurements for this lock are below;-

Size of lock face: 120.5 mm high by 25.5 mm wide by approx 4 mm in depth.

Size of lock body or lock case is: 74 mm long by 70 mm high by 14 mm thick. (the lock case length is excluding the 4 mm thickness of the front steel lock plate and the shiny brass face plate).

Total depth of this lock is: 78 mm. (this is including the 4 mm thickness of the front steel lock plate and the shiny brass face plate).

The measurement from the front face of this lock to the center of the key hole is 57.5 mm. 

The measurements of the keeper plate are 78.5 mm high by 25 mm wide.

The thickness of the brass keeper plate is 2.5 mm.

The total length of the keys are approx 67.5 mm (approx 2 and 3/4 inches long)

This lock can be used on both left and right hand sliding doors ONLY. It is not suitable for doors which have hinges.
