Old Antique Drawer Lock 4 Lever Solid Brass 1 Working Key 1898 Victorian

Here I have for sale a very, very nice vintage late Victorian solid brass 4 lever drawer lock and 1 working newer NON ORIGINAL key which works the lock perfectly with a silky smooth action.

This lock is from my personal collection of vintage locks, It is a very good quality antique late Victorian era drawer lock made by G.Harley & Co and is dated 1898. It is in very nice condition and looks really super !

I've been told that the arrow datum mark may indicate this lock may have come from the British Army or similar forces - Thank you kindly David for the info ! - Very interesting indeed.

This lock is a traditional English drawer lock, but it can also be used as a Bureau lock too (on some Bureaus) if one desired !

This lock measures 70 mm wide by 55 mm high and the top face area (where the lock bolt comes out) measures 70 mm long by 14.5 mm wide. 

The distance from top face edge of this lock to the center of the keyhole pin is 22 mm.

The lock case cover measures approx 44 mm wide by 48 mm high by 11 mm deep. (this is the part that gets recessed in to the wood and hidden)

The total length of the key is 68 mm.

This is a very nice well made old 4 lever very secure drawer lock which is in excellent USED condition for its vintage age with its gleaming polished brass work which looks superb. It is in perfect working order complete with one working key.

This lock is not in bad shape for its vintage age of 126 years old ! and maybe an ideal replacement for that old antique desk that you have where a similar lock may be missing or not working.  

This lock has a few small age related marks as to be expected with such an old original item from the pre 1900's era.

I have described this item to the best of my knowledge and this lock is in perfect working order and in fantastic used condition.
