Antique Cabinet Lock Victorian Solid Brass 1 Lever Has 1 Working Swan Style Key

Here I have for sale a very nice hard to find vintage Victorian era solid brass and 1 lever warded cabinet lock.

This rare and hard to find lock is from my personal vintage lock collection and is complete with 1 original fabulous double swan bird style working original Victorian key which still works the lock perfectly with a very nice spring action.

This is a 2 way cabinet lock suitable for both right handed and left handed cabinet/cupboard doors.

This lock dates from the 1870's era and is in great used condition for its vintage age, It is solid cast brass and it looks absolutely fantastic !

This great lock is a collector's item due to its vintage age and rarity. It is a 1 lever very well made solid brass warded cabinet lock which has been well engineered during the later half of the 19th century ! 

This lock may have only 1 lever but it also has some pretty good warding inside it where the bottom and top part of the key flag must have corresponding slots cut out in order for it to get past the internal warding that is inside this lock and for it to be able to turn inside this lock to lift the 1 lever and move the dead bolt back and fourth, if the key does not have this same corresponding warding cut out in its flag - Then the key certainly will not fit into the lock or turn ! - so this is quite secure lock for it's time !

The measurements of this lock are below:-

Height of lock back plate is 64 mm.

Width of lock back plate is 34 mm. 

The distance between the left edge of this lock to the center of where the key hole pin is, is 17 mm.

The distance between the right edge of this lock to the center of where the key hole pin is, is 17 mm.

The measurements of the lock case part that protrudes is 34 mm wide by 41 mm high. 

The depth of this lock is 10.5 mm.

The total length of the key is 75 mm.

I have described this item to the best of my knowledge and this lock is in good working order and in fantastic used condition.
