Old Cupboard Lock 2 Lever Solid Brass 1 Key Suit Bookcase / Double Door Cupboard

Here I have for sale a very nice hard to find rare vintage solid brass 2 lever Edwardian 2 way cabinet lock (or cupboard lock) complete with 1 original working key (marked with the number "16") which works the lock perfectly with a nice firm solid action and the original keeper piece (this additional keeper piece (spacer) is mainly used to prevent/reduce movement when this lock is fitted to a double door cupboard or cabinet).

This lock has been my personal vintage lock collection for many years and is in fantastic condition for its vintage age.

This is a 2 way lock, so can be used accordingly on left and right handed cabinet or cupboard doors no problem.

Again for info sake !, this lock is intended for double cupboard doors, The little keeper plate ( 3.2mm brass spacer) is made from thick brass and is designed to keep the cupboard doors shut level when the lock is locked and to reduce the rattle/movement, this is because on this lock, the lock bolt is set back by around 3 to 4 mm due to the way this lock was designed so please bare this in mind before you decide to buy this great original Edwardian period antique cabinet lock. 

This lock has no maker's name, but it is stamped with "SECURE 2 LEVER" at the top of its back plate and it is stamped with the number "16" at bottom of its back plate. It dates from the 1900's era and is in fantastic used condition it looks absolutely super with its gleaming brass work !

This great lock is now a collector's item due to its vintage age and is a reasonably good quality 2 lever solid brass Edwardian era cabinet lock.

The measurements of this lock are below:-

Height of lock back plate is 75 mm.

Width of lock back plate is 36 mm. 

The distance between the left edge of this lock to the center of where the key hole pin is, is 18 mm.

The distance between the right edge of this lock to the center of where the key hole pin is, is 18 mm

The measurements of the lock case part that protrudes is 36 mm wide by 44.5 mm high. 

The depth of this lock is approx 11.5 mm.

The size of the small brass keeper plate is 31.5 mm X 12.5 mm X 3.2 mm.

The total length of the key is 60.5 mm.
