Old 1940's Box Lock Has 1 Working Key 2 Lever Dated 1945 Good Condition

Here I have for sale a very nice hard to find solid cast brass 2 lever box lock or blanket chest lock complete with 1 working key and the original solid cast brass keeper plate which is marked "F14" - the same as the lock. 

Buyer to please note that when the key is inserted into this lock it slopes downwards slightly. 

I didn't want to risk forcing it straight in case the key hole pin snaps as it is brass and cast as part of this lock housing. 

(Please see the last photo for more info showing what I mean by the key "sloping slightly" )  

This lock is from my personal vintage lock collection and dates from the mid 1940's era (King George VI period). 

It is in good working order and excellent used condition and it looks terrific ! 

This great lock is now a collector's item due to its vintage age and it's rarity. 

This is a very nice quality 2 lever secure large box/chest lock from the mid 1940's era. 

This lock is in good working order complete with 1 matching period key (non original) and it has the Original cast brass keeper plate.

Please see all 15 pictures and study them carefully as they show the actual lock you are buying and the over all condition that it is in including any marks and imperfections it has. The pictures also show some relevant measurements that may be needed. 

The measurements of this lock are below:-

Size of lock top face is 65.5 mm long by approx 12 mm wide (this is the top side with the two square holes).

Size of lock back plate is 65.5 mm long by 37 mm high. 

The distance between the top edge of this lock to the center of where the key hole pin is, is 23 mm.

The measurements of the lock case that is recessed into the wood and hidden is approx 39 mm wide by 32 mm high by approx 9 mm deep. 

Size of the keeper plate is 65.5 mm long by 12.5 mm wide.

The total length of the key is 57 mm.

I have described this item to the best of my knowledge and this lock is in good working order and in fantastic used condition for its age.​
