Secret Avengers Vol. 2 #8 – “The Cathedral”

In this issue, Mockingbird is deep undercover within A.I.M., posing as scientist Harold Bainbridge. Her scientific acumen allows her to maintain the facade, but the strain of the deception begins to take its toll as she struggles with the intricacies of Bainbridge's life and work

Meanwhile, Taskmaster conducts brutal training sessions for A.I.M. recruits, using the formidable robot TESS-One to test their mettle. His unorthodox methods raise concerns among A.I.M.'s leadership.

Yelena Belova, dissatisfied with the current training regime, proposes the formation of an elite fighting force under her command, challenging the existing hierarchy.

Elsewhere, Graviton and Superia form a clandestine alliance, questioning the direction and ethics of A.I.M.'s leadership.

The issue also introduces a mysterious figure who ascends the titular Cathedral, seeking ultimate truth, only to encounter Jude the Entropic Man, leading to a transformative and unsettling revelation.

The narrative weaves together espionage, internal power struggles, and metaphysical exploration, setting the stage for escalating tensions within A.I.M. and the broader Marvel Universe.

NM / Near Mint – virtually perfect

VF / Very Fine – light wear only

FN / Fine – general wear, still clean and complete

VG / Very Good – moderate wear, minor defects

G / Good – heavy wear or age, complete unless noted
