Runaways Vol. 4 #2 – “Doomed Youth: Part Two”

In this issue, the students at Battleworld's Institute for Gifted Youths face their final exam—a brutal deathmatch where they are pitted against each other under the guise of simulations. Team Puce, including Jubilee, Pixie, Amadeus Cho, Skaar, Dagger, and Molly Hayes, navigate the treacherous arena.

Tragically, Pixie is killed during the exam, a consequence of Jubilee's lack of seriousness. Amadeus Cho uncovers that the students are unknowingly fighting real peers, not simulations, and that failures result in actual deaths. Realizing the deception, the group decides to escape the institution, officially becoming runaways.

This issue delves into themes of authority, deception, and the resilience of youth, setting the stage for the team's rebellion against the oppressive system.

NM / Near Mint – virtually perfect

VF / Very Fine – light wear only

FN / Fine – general wear, still clean and complete

VG / Very Good – moderate wear, minor defects

G / Good – heavy wear or age, complete unless noted
