Antique Cabinet Lock Victorian Has 1 working Key 1 Lever LEFT HANDED

Here I have for sale a very nice, rare and hard to find vintage early Victorian period antique brass 1 lever LEFT HANDED cut cabinet lock (or cupboard lock) complete with 1 working period key which works the lock perfectly with a very nice snap action.

Again this is a left handed cut cabinet lock (or half mortice lock as some people call it), Please see photo number 12 on this listing as this shows both left and right handed doors to give you a rough idea of what to look for when buying the correct lock for your cabinet or cupboard. 

This lock is from my personal antique lock collection and has no makers name. It dates from the 1840's era and it is in very good used condition for its age and looks absolutely super !

This great lock is now also a collector's item due to its vintage age and is a very good quality 1 lever early brass LEFT HAND cut cabinet lock. It is perfect for that antique cabinet or bookcase where a similar lock may be not working or missing !

The measurements of this lock are below:-

Height of lock back plate is 77 mm.

Width of lock back plate is 38 mm. 

Height of lock left side face plate (where lock bolt come out) is 77 mm.

Width of lock left side face plate (where lock bolt come out) is 12.5 mm.

The distance between the left edge of this lock to the center of where the key hole pin is, is 19 mm.

Size of lock barrel is 17mm dia

The measurements of the lock case part that gets recessed in to the wood and hidden is 41 mm high by 35.5 mm wide by 8.5 mm in depth.  

The total length of the key is 40 mm. 

This is a LEFT HANDED lock and only suitable for cabinet doors that have the keyhole on the LEFT HAND side when looking at the cabinet door from the OUTSIDE with the door fully CLOSED.
