Antique Cut Cabinet Lock Solid Brass Has 1 Key 4 Lever Warded RIGHT HANDED LOCK

Here I have for sale a really FABULOUS rare hard to find vintage Victorian antique brass 4 lever (plus secure  warding)  RIGHT HANDED cut cabinet lock (or cupboard lock) complete with 1 ORIGINAL working key which still works the lock perfectly with a very nice smooth solid action.

(Please study the last picture in this listing that shows left and right hand door setup) 

A right handed door is where the hinges are on the left and the lock (keyhole)  is on the right and the door opens outwards and towards you. 

Again this is a Right handed cut cabinet lock (or half mortice lock as some people call it), Please see photo number 12 on this listing as this shows both left and right handed doors to give you a rough idea of what to look for when buying the correct lock for your cabinet or cupboard. 

This lock is from my personal vintage lock collection, It is stamped with "C S" followed by "83" at the top and at the bottom it is stamped with the "C S LOGO mark" and the key which is the original key is also s tamped with "CS 83" too.  It dates from the 1880's era and is in very good used condition and it looks absolutely fantastic !

This great lock is now also a collector's item due to its vintage age and it's rarity, It is a very good high quality 4 lever warded type lock made from solid cast brass and it is a RIGHT HAND cut cabinet lock. It is perfect for that antique cabinet or cupboard where a similar lock may be not working or missing !

This lock is an early solid brass cut cabinet lock (or cupboard lock) and has 4 secure levers and plus the secure warding inside where the bottom and top part of the key must have corresponding slots cut out in order to for it to get past the warding and to be able to turn inside this lock to lift the 4 levers (to the correct level) and move the lock bolt back and fourth, if the key does not have the corresponding slots cut out it will not even fit all the way into the lock or turn. full stop.  

Again, this lock does have some superficial marks which are due to casting defects and also age so please bare this in mind before you decide to buy this fabulous original Victorian Cut cabinet lock and its original matching fabulous period key.

Please see all 12 pictures and study them carefully as they show the actual lock you are buying and the over all condition that it is in including any marks and imperfections it may have being a vintage item many years old. The pictures also show some relevant measurements that may be needed. 

The measurements of this lock are below:-

Height of lock back plate is 75 mm.

Width of lock back plate is 45.5 mm. 

Height of lock right side face plate (where lock bolt come out) is 75 mm.

Width of lock right side face plate (where lock bolt come out) is 16.5 mm.

The distance between the right edge of this lock to the center of where the key hole pin is, is 22 mm.

The measurements of the lock case part that gets recessed in to the wood and hidden is 51 mm high by 42 mm wide by 12 mm in depth.     

The total length of the key is 83.5 mm. 

This is a RIGHT HANDED lock and only suitable for cabinet doors that have the keyhole on the RIGHT HAND side when looking at the cabinet door from the OUTSIDE with the door fully CLOSED.
