Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here is an exceptionally clean and fabulous sounding pair of 1940's Woody Herman and Orchestra fox trot arrangements.

Side CO 35167 presents "Gee, It's Good To Hold You", with vocal chorus by Frances Wayne, and side CO 35168 shows, "Your Father's Mustache", with vocal chorus by members of the orchestra.

Faint surface wear and moderate scuffs will be found under a high gloss surface, and scratching is light. No breaks, cracks, skips, or chips. Big Band sounds at their best!
