Seller's Description
Measuring a large, 4 1/4 X 6 inches, and nearly mint-state, this is an NPS photo by Fred Szarka. Card #MM-CD1, printed by Consolidated/Drake Press and distributed by Eastern National Park & Monument Assn. No messaging or mailing and showing a tiny ding on the upper-left corner and ultra-light creasing on the lower-right, the reverse tells us:
"In 1836 the citizens of Concord erected the Battle Monument to the memory of the fight at the North Bridge. A controversy arose almost immediately because it had been built on the 'British' side of the river. When the Centennial was celebrated, Daniel Chester French's famous Minute Man statue was erected on the opposite bank."
