Seller's Description
A Victor Bat Wing Label from the Roaring Twenties and one of the "Big Three" in label names. This is a pair of dance rhythms from the big band of Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra. Using a large ensemble and exploring many styles of music, Whiteman is perhaps best known for his blending of symphonic music and jazz and produced recordings that were immensely successful, with press notices often referring to him as the "King of Jazz". Duke Ellington declared, "Paul Whiteman was known as the King of Jazz, and no one as yet has come near carrying that title with more certainty and dignity."

Side 18777-A Features the fox trot, "Cho-Cho-San", on melodies by Pucini.
Side 18777-B plays, "Song Of India", another medley fox trot adapted from Rimsky-Korsakow's Chanson Indoue.
Rated at VG+ with normal and light playwear of modest scuff and scratch marks. No cracks, skips, or chips.
