Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here is a mostly clean and decent sounding pair of 1940's Spade Cooley Orchestra western swing arrangements.

Side HCO 1640 features "Hide Your Face", with a "Tex" Williams vocal.

Side HCO 1874 offers the instrumental of, "Yodeling Polka", a real toe tapper! Light surface wear and very faint scratches are to be expected but no skips are caused. We grade this at excellent
