Seller's Description

"The wizard of the keyboard," Frankie Carle was one of the most popular pianists of the 1940's and 1950's.

Starting in 1916, he worked with a number of mainstream dance orchestras. He became a featured performer (and later partner) in the Horace Heidt orchestra, leaving in 1944 to form his own band. His daughter, billed as Marjorie Hughes, was the lead singer. Carle had several million-sellers in the late 1940's and early 1950's, including his theme song, "Sunrise Serenade" .

These are fine sounding plays, with minimal background noise. No serious damage. Only incidental wear. Don't let the label fading fool you. We grade as excellent.

Side CO 27519 offers "A Lover's Lullaby" and "Sunrise Serenade", both with rhythm accompaniment. Side CO 27520 features, "Hindustan", also with rhythm accompaniment.
