Original British 17 inch x 22 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1939 Frank R. Strayer Comedy BLONDIE, based on the Chic Young Comic Strip and starring Penny Singleton, Arthur Lake, Larry Simms and Gene Lockhart.
The first of 28 films made between 1938 and 1950 based on the popular Chic Young comic strip featuring the exploits of helpful housewife Blondie (Singleton), her bumbling spouse Dagwood Bumstead (Lake), their children and dog Daisy. In this zappy farce, the couple get into difficulty paying off furniture instalments when Dagwood can’t get rid of a loan shark’s note.
The Advertisement is in very good condition with one vertical centre fold.
