Old Victorian Cabinet Lock 1 Key LEFT HANDED LOCK THIS LOCK HAS NO WARDING

Here I have for sale a very nice, rare and hard to find vintage early Victorian period antique brass and steel LEFT HANDED cut cabinet lock (or cupboard lock) complete with 1 working NON ORIGINAL key which works the lock perfectly with a very nice firm snap action.

BUYER TO NOTE; UNFORTUNATELY THIS LOCK HAS  **NO INTERNAL WARDING**  PLEASE ONLY BUY THIS LOCK IF YOU ARE OK WITH THIS. 

Again this is a left handed cut cabinet lock (or half mortice lock as some people call it), Please see photo number 15 on this listing as this shows both left and right handed doors to give you a rough idea of what to look for when buying the correct lock for your cabinet or cupboard. 

THIS LOCK IS ONLY SUITABLE FOR A LEFT HANDED CABINET / CUPBOARD DOOR WHERE THE HINGES ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND THE LOCK (THE KEYHOLE) IS ON THE LEFT AND THE DOOR OPENS OUTWARDS AND TOWARDS YOU.

This lock is from my own personal collection of vintage locks. It has no makers name and dates from the 1840's era. It is in very good used condition and it looks absolutely fantastic !

This great lock is a collector's item due to its vintage age and is a good quality early brass and steel LEFT HAND cut cabinet lock. It is perfect for that antique cabinet or cupboard where a similar lock may be not working or missing !

Please see all 15 pictures and study them carefully as they show the actual lock you are buying and the over all condition that it is in including any marks and imperfections it has being a vintage item that is many years old. 

The pictures also show some relevant measurements that may be needed. 

The measurements of this lock are below:-

Height of lock back plate is 88 mm.

Width of lock back plate is 46.5 mm. 

Height of lock left side face plate (where the two steel lock bolts come out) is 88 mm.

Width of lock left side face plate (where the two steel lock bolts come out) is 14 mm.

The distance between the left edge of this lock to the center of where the key hole pin is, is 20 mm.

The measurements of the lock case part that gets recessed in to the wood and hidden is 51 mm high by 38.5 mm wide by 10 mm in depth.  

The total length of the key is 75 mm. 

This is a LEFT HANDED lock and only suitable for cabinet doors that have the keyhole on the LEFT HAND side when looking at the cabinet door from the OUTSIDE with the door fully CLOSED.

I have described this item to the best of my knowledge and this lock is in good working order and in fantastic used condition.
