Old Cupboard Cabinet Lock Brass and Steel 1 working Key 2 Lever LEFT HAND LOCK

Here I have for sale a really FABULOUS hard to find vintage Victorian antique brass 2 lever LEFT HANDED cut cabinet lock (or cupboard lock) complete with 1 working Victorian period key which works the lock WELL BUT with a VERY FIRM SPRING ACTION. (Please study the last picture in this listing that shows left and right hand door setup) 

A left handed door is where the hinges are on the right and the lock (keyhole)  is on the left and the door opens outwards and towards you. 

Again this is a left handed cut cabinet lock (or half mortice lock as some people call it), Please see photo number 15 on this listing as this shows both left and right handed doors to give you a rough idea of what to look for when buying the correct lock for your cabinet or cupboard. 

This lock is from my personal vintage lock collection. It has no maker's name or markings. It dates from the 1890's era and is in very good used condition and it looks great !

This great lock is now also a collector's item due to its vintage age and is a very good quality 2 lever brass and steel LEFT HAND cut cabinet lock. It is perfect for that antique cabinet or bookcase where a similar lock may be not working or missing !

Please see all 15 pictures and study them carefully as they show the actual lock you are buying and the over all condition that it is in including any marks and imperfections it may have being a vintage item that is now many years old.

The measurements of this lock are below:-

Height of lock back plate is 75.5 mm.

Width of lock back plate is 37 mm. 

Height of lock left side face plate (where lock bolt come out) is 75.5 mm.

Width of lock left side face plate (where lock bolt come out) is 12.5 mm.

The distance between the left edge of this lock to the center of where the key hole pin is, is 17.5 mm.

The measurements of the steel lock case part that gets recessed in to the wood and hidden is 47 mm high by 36 mm wide by approx 7.5 mm in depth.  

The total length of the key is 49 mm. 

This is a LEFT HANDED lock and only suitable for cabinet doors that have the keyhole on the LEFT HAND side when looking at the cabinet door from the OUTSIDE with the door fully CLOSED.

I have described this item to the best of my knowledge and this lock is in perfect working order and in fantastic used condition.
