Newquay 1976, Bus & Cortina at Cliff Road, Large Photo
Description: This is a Large 12" inch x 8" inch photo of a period street scene at Cliff Road, Newquay in 1976. The Western National liveried, 1975, Eastern Coach works bodied, Bristol VRT, registration plate GTA50N, Fleet number 1080, Route 521, destination board 'Newquay', is seen here opposite Station Parade, just about to pass the railway station as it makes it's way on to the bus station.
Also seen in this busy street scene is a 1969 Ford Cortina MkII, a Mini 850 saloon, a Ford Cortina MkIII, a VW camper van and a Ford Anglia. The Rendezvous Restaurant and Barclays bank are two of the shops that are no longer there, although the parade of buildings remain the same.
A busy everyday summer scene of daily life in Newquay in the mid 1970s.
