Description: This is a Large approx 12" inch x 8" inch photo of a period street scene in Leeds in 1969. A 1968 West Riding liveried Daimler turns off Duke Street into the Leeds City bus station, having just passed the infamous Quarry Hill flats in the background. There is a Singer Gazelle, a VW 'bus', a Vauxhall Viva HB a Triumph Herald also in the background. The bus is displaying route 1, destination 'Goole', registration MHL291F.
An interesting look at Leeds city center in the late 1960s.
