Description: This is a Large approx 11" inch x 8" inch photo of a period street scene in Exeter Corporation city centre in 1971. A 1960 Exeter corporation Guy Arab bus makes its way past French store on Sidwell Street (opposite where John Lewis department store is now). the bus is displaying 'St David's Station', registration 971AFJ, fleet number 271. Pedestrians on the pavement include two young women in mini skirts.
An interesting look at Exeter city centre in the early 70s.
