We Devils have gotten a lot of bad press over the centuries. Why is that?
Originally we were one of God's minions. Simple tools designed to carry out God's Whims ( witness Job ). Then we were visually corrupted by early Christianity into monsters ( yet Lucifer is described as the most beautiful of all the Angels in the OT ).
I tell you it is tough enough getting by without being blamed for everything wrong with the World. One would think Humans would have enough courage to assume some responsibility for the mess things always become.
It is a terrible burden we carry simply because we believed it was better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven.....

Which, assuming you put any faith in anything written in the bible would indicate the existence of the devil as much as God.

It's called selective quoting. In that the segment quoted was the only part I considered to be in error.

You stated that there was no evidence (i.e reference) to Lucifer (the devil) in the bible. I gave you a reference.

A reference in the bible is as much proof as you have for anything in it. Beyond that you are down to pure faith.

That is true. I suppose that's why he/she is called by hundreds of different names, too.
