We Devils have gotten a lot of bad press over the centuries. Why is that?
Originally we were one of God's minions. Simple tools designed to carry out God's Whims ( witness Job ). Then we were visually corrupted by early Christianity into monsters ( yet Lucifer is described as the most beautiful of all the Angels in the OT ).
I tell you it is tough enough getting by without being blamed for everything wrong with the World. One would think Humans would have enough courage to assume some responsibility for the mess things always become.
It is a terrible burden we carry simply because we believed it was better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven.....

canuck.... there is no evidence in either the OT or NT of Lucifer ( which is Greek for Falling Star and in the OT is more of a direct reference to a Babylonian king ( I may be wrong about Babylon ).

It all depends on which version and what book you read I reckon. We all take what we want out of the history books. Is the original version Latin? Or perhaps another language? Alot gets lost in the translation. Like this site.

Canuck, also a study of the latest translation of the Tanakh would be of enormous help to you ( tho' you may find it time consuming ( particularly Nevi'im and Kuthuvim ).
