• Comments: The Wrexham Shropshire & Marylebone Railway Company was a delightful small-scale  train company that ran from 2008-2011. The staff were really nice and it was a breath of fresh air over the existing franchises in the area. Unfortunately, they did not find friends with the Welsh government over funding, and were pushed out by rival train companies – the economic situation at the time did not exactly help either. Eventually they were consumed into Chiltern Railways. The route map is shown in the back of the timetable. As the company was in existence for just 3 years, and this timetable was shortly after its formation, it is relatively rare.
