Since refilling is a DIY activity there is also potential for you do something wrong. If a fault develops with your cartridge you may reclaim the unused toner and use it in another one.
• This printer has a separate imaging drum unit. There is little that can go wrong with the toner cartridge.
• Instructions are included for refilling with the "Slide Shutter and pour" method, as additional information to help you with the task. You open the shutter where the toner comes out from.
