Great *RARE* antique leather hardback book from 1870 by James Anthony Froude on the history of England from the fall of Wolsey to the defeat of the Spanish armada. Volume 9 only. Photo 3 shows the lovely marbled design on the page edges. Photo 19 shows some pen writing and a private home library label on the inside cover. Binding and other pages inside are in superb condition especially as the book is 160 years old.
