Great *RARE* antique leather hardback book from 1862 by James Anthony Froude on the history of England from the fall of Wolsey to the death of Queen Elizabeth I covering:

• The visitation of the monasteries
• Trial and death of Anne Boleyn

Volume 2 only. Photo 3 shows the lovely marbled design on the page edges. Photo 20 shows some pen writing and a private home library label on the inside cover. Binding and other pages inside are in superb condition especially as the book is 162 years old.
