New,old stock brush set for Lucas model C45PV-6 dynamos. ASTON, JAGUAR, ALVIS, +

C45PV-6 generator brush set.  Not for other C45PV variants.  Lucas part numbers 54210090 and 54212267 and their later ICN no. was USB100. The brush part of these two numbers is identical. Lead length was reduced on the latter by about 1/2 inch.

This listed set was made by after-market parts manufacturer Remax, their no. CB768. No longer with its Remax box, I repackaged sets for display at autojumbles in the 1970s and 80s.

Vehicle applications generally fall between 1959 and 1965. The C45PV-6 was used on a  range of (mainly) larger engined cars. Some examples:  Aston-Martin DB4 1959-64; Alvis TD21 1959-62; Austin-Healey 3000 & 3000MkII 1960-63; Austin Princess 4 Litre 1960-63 and 3 Litre 1960-62; Bedford TJ 1960-65; Daimler Majestic 3.8 1959-63;  Hillman Minx with Easidrive (not manual Minx); Humber  Super Snipe 1960-62;  Jaguar XK150 1959-61 plus any other Jaguar of this era with a C45PV-6; Rover 100 1959-62, 3 Litre 1959-62; Singer Gazelle IIIA with Easidrive 1960-62; Wolseley 6/99 1959-62.
