The object of research is the inner vocabulary of a person as a system organized according to the principles of connectivity, spontaneity, synergistic self-regulation, integrity, and coordinated optimum. In line with the experimental-evidential paradigm of modern linguistics, the associative model of linguistic semantics, the linguistic status of the associative field of the word, its quantitational characteristics, and their relationship with a number of other quantitative and qualitative characteristics of vocabulary and language in general are considered.
