These instructions are NOT in your service manual. The discussion of the operation of the Signal Seeking Tuner does not refer to any particular model radio. It covers the overall operation and the service manual for a particular radio involved will give the details of the circuit used in the actual radio. The Signal Seeking Tuner (Wonder Bar) is an electronically & mechanically controlled automatic tuner by which the operator can change stations by merely depressing a single station selector bar on the radio or an auxiliary foot switch. The seeking operation is a uni-directional sweep of the broadcast band from low to high frequency with a nearly instantaneous return. The tuning mechanism is driven by a spring loaded mechanical motor which is stopped on station by a triggering circuit activated by voltage developed from an incoming signal of a radio station. The Series F2 Tuners provide five selector buttons as a preset for your favorite stations in addition to the station selector bar or foot switch.
