I've seen a ton of natural rubies -- sort of pink, sort of purple, sort of muddy, almost always got stuff in them. In fact, the easiest giveaway that a ruby is created, not mined, is that it's got great color and that it's clear. It's just better... (and lucky for us, it's a whole lot less expensive!) These stones are set into a 4 prong basket mounting, hanging from leverbacks. You can see from our pictures our pictures that our mountings are good and strong. We cast our own metal, and refuse to use wimpy "snap-tight" mountings.
