Inside you can find details on the natural distribution (including 21 detailed distribution maps), identification, behaviour, and also aquarium husbandry of not only the cichlid fishes of Guinea but many other sympatric fish species that live alongside them. In this beautiful biotope-themed book, there are 217 full colour photos - showing close-up images and habitat photos of many iconic, as well as lesser-known fish species occurring in the river systems of Guinea. The book is in English and includes 21 drawings by artist Mitsuhiro Iwamoto. There has not been anything new written about West African fishes for quite some time so this will be a welcome addition to the library of any aquarist or any nature lover.
