c1880s HEAVY ANTIQUE FAMILY HOLY BIBLE 5.7kg BOOK & BRASS CLASPS (EV9)

Great antique HUGE HEAVY 5.7kg THICK Family Holy Bible by Reverend John Eadie. Lovely ornate leather cover with two ornate brass clasps and ornate brass corners. Contains lovely colour full page illustrations. No publication date but these bibles were published circa 1870s and 1880s. Photo 3 shows the lovely gold gilt page edges and brass clasps. Photo 4 shows a close up of one of the clasps. Photo 5 shows the back cover. There is pen writing on the Family Register etc pages. Photo 24 shows a small split at the bottom of the cover spine edge but opening and closing the front cover feels fine and not fragile. Page binding and pages inside are in great condition especially as the Bible is around 145 years old. 

Measures 33cm tall x 25cm wide x 10cm thick. Weighs 5.7kg.
