Postcard Stagecoach, 1904
From about 1880 to the start of the World War I, William S Mitchell of Truro was proprietor of a horse bus which ran a regular service two days a week from Truro via St Austell to Fowey where it remained overnight before completing the return journey on the following day. The bus is seen at its overnight resting place where Robert Varco, the owner of Ye Olde Lugger catered for clientele with wide ranged alcoholic tastes
