Backup - blank media for Commodore 64, C64, cartridge (cart for Licence to Kill)

If you have a problem with your old Commodore 64/128 games over 30 years old, I have a good solution for you. Floppy disks and cassette tapes degauss over time. They stop working with our C64 or C128 computers. You can make a very permanent backup of our games and programs on Cartridges.

I am selling an empty game backup cartridge (equivalent to an empty '80s self-recording USB'). The insert has a Flash memory that can be programmed. The insert is made of new components with the exception of flash memory. It has a label, a short game guide and a box with art. At the buyer's special request, I can record an image of the game. A prerequisite is a written confirmation that you are the owner of the game. You are requesting a backup of a game that was released more than 30 years ago.

What are you buying:

• Empty cartridge (without software) made of new parts with graphics. 
• Shell from injection molding machine.
• Self-programmable flash memory not soldered. It is not possible to install the socket for memory, it does not fit into the housing. In case you confirm that you are the owner of the game, I will send a programed and soldered Flash memory.
• Box with a hole for a cartridge, graphics and foam (cartridge boxes come from used VHS. They may have traces of use. Unfortunately, I am not able to buy new such boxes.)
• Quick start guide and poster.
• All graphics are made on glossy paper with a weight of 130g.
• Everything is handmade.
• Possibility to put your logo or nickname (personalization of the project).

 All cartridges are tested on a real Commodore 64 before shipment. On special request, I can design backups for other game titles. Please contact me in this matter.
