Authentic Victorian Pin Brooch, French miniature painted on porcelain, 19th cent

This Victorian pin depicts a French woman dressed in 19th cent. headress.  It is a miniature brooch painted on porcelain,  which dates back to the end of the nineteenth century, and is simply a work of art.

   As typical in those days, the woman does not smile, but her face is delicately featured.  

   A geographical guess is that she is from the Western part of France (Normandy or the western part of the Loire river) 
 
   This miniature brooch makes a statement of good taste and historical sensitivity by any one wearing it.

  The condition of this piece is VERY GOOD. A few craquelures are evident on the first photo.
