Antique Georgian 9ct Gold Cased Flat Cut Garnet Hair Locket Mourning Brooch / Lace Pin
This wonderful antique Georgian Hair Locket Mourning Brooch dates from the late 1700s and features a lock of the loved ones hair entwined with genuine Gold thread behind a small bevelled glass panel with a surround of flat cut Red garnets (representing love) set into a 9ct Gold cased frame.
Lace Pins were also known as Fichu Pins in the Georgian period.
The Brooch is 9ct gold cased (a thick layer of 9ct Gold over an inner Brass frame).

It measures 2.4cm x 2cm, weighs 5.4g and has a secure pin with a 'C' Clasp.-------------------------------
The Brooch is in good antique condition as shown - Age Georgian (late 1700s).
