Africanism at the MAE RAS: to the anniversaries. In Russian/Afrikanistika v MAE RAN: k yubileynym datam. The contents of the collection include a foreword and two sections: History of the Ethnography Department of Africa and African Collections of the Ethnography Department of the African Academy of Sciences. The foreword provides a brief overview of historical dates associated with the Ethnography Department of Africa, as well as a summary of the contents of the collection. The first section describes the influence of D.A. Olderos views on colonial society as a specific concept of Leningrad Afrikanics, the history of murals in the Ethnography Department of Africa (Egyptian cabinet), the early stages of work on African collections, and the work of N.V.
