Great vintage THICK heavy 1.3kg biography hardback book by Carl Sandburg from 1954 on the life of Abraham Lincoln. This is volume one and covers the prairie years and the war years. Contains photos throughout. Photo 20 shows pen writing from 1961 on the title page. Photo 21 shows a gap in the binding between the cover spine and pages so the binding feels a bit wobbly but there are no loose pages and cover is still attached (this is common in old thick books). Pages inside are in great condition especially as the book is 71 years old.
