Great vintage fiction hardback book from 1949 by H L Gee. ontaining selected writings of John Ruskin. Photo 3 shows foxing on the side of the book and photo 15 shows foxing spots and remnants of a presenation label on the inside cover. Binding and other pages inside are in nice condition especially as the book is 76 years old.

"The Sunny Room" is a book by H.L. Gee, first published in 1944, and is also the title of a collection of stories by the same author. The book, subtitled "How Penelope Came into it, What She Did There and the Manner of Her Leaving It," is a love story told through the format of letters. It is described as a story set in a room where "many hard battles are fought and won".
