I bought this on a recent trip to Skagway, Alaska.
This Postcard features pictures of the WP&YR Station, Whats left of the S.S. Tutshi and the old Whitepass Wagon.
This Postcard is new and has never been mailed.
It measures approximately 5-13/16 X 4 inches.
This postcard is in excellent condition.
The rear reads:
CARCROSS, YUKON
The picturesque little town of Carcross, Yukon, is located on the original gold rush Trail of 98. For over half a century it was also a main stopping point on the Whitepass and Yukon Route railway. Today the train visits Carcross only occasionally, and the train station has become an information center. Many interesting historic artifacts still abound. Some of the more photographed include the old Whitepass wagon, SI. Saviours' Church and the remains of the Sternwheeler Tutshi (lost to fire in the 1990's).
