Original 1894 5 1/4 inch x 7 7/8 inch Chromolithograph titled THE WHITE-NOSED COATI.

White-nosed coatis are members of the raccoon family. They look similar to raccoons but have distinctive long, protruding snouts. They have brown, reddish or yellow fur, a dark face and white markings on their eyes, nose and ears. They are found mainly in central America..

Engraved by Pierre Jacques Smit (1813 - 1903). A natural history illustrator of the Victorian era in England.

This illustration is taken from ‘The Royal Natural History’ edited by Richard Lydekker and published by Frederick Warne & Co. London and New York, 1894.

The page size is 10 inch x 6 5/8 inch

The chromolithograph is in very good condition. Reverse side blank.
