Detailed Condtion : Beautiful condition!
This is a beautifully made feather pillbox hat. I believe it is hand made. The label inside says "Fashioned by Muggins Hall". I don't know what type of feathers these are but they were obviously chosen for uniformity and arranged with exquisite care. The feathers are quite small and delicate with a rich slightly reddish brown color and black tips. Smaller feathers were used in concentric circles around the crown. The diameter of the hat is about 6". The hat has a black fabric lining which appears to be hand stitched. Two narrow plastic combs are attached with elastic to the lining to help settle the hat into the hair.

This hat is in absolutely beautiful condition for its age, which I estimate to be the 1950's or 60's. The lining shows no signs of wear at all. The feathers are all intact with no bare spots and no signs of deterioration. This is truly a rare find that would make a stunning style statement or addition to a vintage hat collection!
