Victor 78 #64109 - Evan Williams, tenor - "Absent"

A Victor Red Label from about 1910 and one of the "Big Three" in label names. Long considered some of the best recordings for audio quality, this single-sided recording still plays exceptionally well, and an high gloss has been maintained. Squeeky clean, but some hiss is to be expected. Virtually no scratches, scuff marks, chips, or skips.

Side 64109 presents the tenor voice with orchestra (in English) with, "Absent", performed by Evan Williams - (1867-1918). Considered one of the most respected American oratorio tenors of his time, as well as being one of the great interpreters of songs. He amassed over a thousand recital appearances during his career.
