Offered is a first printing by Scholastic Books of ten stories by horror/suspense master Edgar Allan Poe. This is a former library book and so it has the check-out label on the inside front cover, has the card pocket on the inside back cover, and has school property stamps on the interior. This was a library discard. The book is also a Scholastic Library Edition which featured a more robust cover (front and back) using a heavy clear cover in order to better withstand usage.

Overall, the condition is given as acceptable. A look at the front and back cover scans shows the rather extensive flaws (creasing, pitting). There is some staining but surprisingly a decent spine without any creasing. Some pages are "dog earred." Normally, I'd have passed this one by given the condition but it is a first printing of a classic mystery thriller collection by one of the greats and someone might want to have it in their collection or even need it for a class.
