Seller's Description

Offered is the 1909 edition of "Chemistry of the Farm" by Robert Warington F.R.S. (which stood for Fellow of the Royal Society and which he received in 1864). Warington is best known for his chemist work and also as the creator of the Chemical Society of London (in 1841) which still exists today as the Royal Society of Chemistry.

This work, part of the "Morton's Handbooks of the Farm" series (this title is the first), covers critical topics related to farming including plant growth, soil, manure usage, crop/crop rotation, animal/livestock nutrition, dairy, and more. This book was widely known and used around the world, being translated in multiple languages.

This particular copy has moisture damage (evident on the cover and title page images) but none of the pages appear stuck together and so it is still easily readable. It is over 220 pages in length.
