• Comments: From the Daily Telegraph newspaper published on Monday February 27th 1978. This was written by the newspaper’s Science Correspondent, Adrian Berry – the 4^th Viscount Camrose. This article explains in very clear terms why extracting energy from a hypothetical Perpetual Motion machine is a non-starter for an infinite supply of energy. Despite this Adrian Berry says that people still file patents for such mythical machines. The Daily Telegraph is a British newspaper which some regard as conservative in its views – however it is quite a factual paper and its stories carry a lot of detail.
