Manchester Undergraduate 2018 Entry
- Size: 15cm tall x10.5cm wide x 3.5mm thick
- Weight: 40g
- 41 numbered pages
- Condition: In a bit of a used condition. Scuff mark on bottom of spine and the booklet has been bent about 4cm in from the spine on the left side. See images. Mo doubt it will flatten out over time if kept on a shelf in between books.
- General Comments: The University of Manchester originated as the Mechanics Institute in 1824, before becoming UMIST and finally the current university in 2004. Manchester University operates Jodrell Bank Radio telescope and was one of the two main centres for computing after World War II – the other being Cambridge. It is quite an impressive university with 25 past and present Nobel Prize winners. Notable people who have worked/studied there include: Bernard Lovell, Brian Cox, Anthony Burgess, Marie Stopes, Ben Elton, Rik Mayall, Alan Turing, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Would be ideal for anyone (or a friend/relative of) who had their photo taken for this prospectus. Or for anyone who graduated from who wants a nice souvenir of what the university is getting up to these days. Also, might be useful for rival universities to see how other universities do their undergraduate prospectus’ for comparison purposes.
