- Comments: Sir Clive Sinclair was a prolific inventor from the 1970’s/1980’s. This is a cartoon of him in his electric tricycle, a forerunner of modern electric vehicles. To be honest they were regarded as rather unsafe by other motorists, had a relatively short range and could only travel upto 15mph/.The project was a commercial flop. This cartoon depicts Sir Clive solving the train problems on the British Rail network. The reverse side of this newspaper clipping is about the Amoco Montrose North Seas platform.
