Seller's Description

From the General Phonograph Corporation, circa 1923, though now part of the CBS-Columbia music family. A rich history surrounds this label founded by Otto Heinemann, who issued not only recordings similar to other companies, but also music for audiences in the German, Czech, Polish, Swedish and Yiddish communities neglected by others.

Offered here is a moderately clean and pleasant sounding 1940's Big Band rhythms from Tommy Tucker Time.

Some gloss still shows through numerous scuffs and light scratches. No cracks, chips, or skips.

Side 31842 presents a fox trot, "Moonlight Cocktail", with vocal chorus by Don Brown and Voices Three. Side 31844 offers, "I Said No", a waltz from "Sweater Girl" with vocal chorus provided by Amy Arnell
