Seller's Description
2 inch approx. housing diameter. An after-market replacement for the Smiths / AC-Delco type standard fitment.
(Without any part no. on the box I cannot cross-reference it to Smiths / AC numbers.) XXXXXX Now I can as I've just unearthed an AC equivalent, their no. TC1
This GH thermostat has had a poor shelf life, the brass is tarnished and the box is dishevelled .... but it is new, old stock. My kitchen thermometer isn't finely calibrated so I can only attest to the fact that it opens at near to 80 degrees.
Some applications: Daimler 1954-59 Conquest, Century, Roadster, 104 DK400; Hillman Californian / Minx / Husky between 1952 & 61; Vauxhall E, F and PA between 1955 & 62; other Rootes applications, also some tractors - please ask if unsure.
Original bellows type thermostats are getting hard to find.
